Epoxy Resin, Acrylic Paint and Alcohol Ink on canvas | Framed in a white tray frame | 15H x 12W x 1.5D inches.

Created by painting a base layer of blue onto the canvas and then dropping coloured ink onto it as it dries, once the canvas is completely dry I’ll pour a clear resin mixture over the entire canvas and drop gold ink into it as the resin cures. The different layers of paint, resin and ink really create depth within the canvas and it almost becomes sculptural.

Once the resin has fully cured it leaves a hard, glassy, water like finish with a golden shimmer from the ink, which really helps emphasise the theme of the ocean which heavily inspired me to create this body of work.

Featured in my Artwave 2018 display.

Resin is a highly reflective material and is very difficult to photograph, there is some reflection and glare from my studio lights, if you are interested in this piece and would like additional photos of it please feel free to contact me and ask, thank you.
